The crimes are threatening many corporations and individuals who depend on intelligent systems for the operation of critical assignments. Global businesses have lost over $1 trillion to cyber crimes.
In Nigeria, intelligent systems and networks are increasingly being deployed to run Nigeria’s mission critical services and sensitive processes in a number of sectors that are vital to the nation’s economy; telecoms, energy, education, financial services among others. Thus, computer systems and networks running those sectors constitute a critical information infrastructure because their impairment would have a direct and expansive negative impact on the nation’s overall economy and wellbeing.
Statistics by Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) shows that Nigeria ranks 3rd (7.5%) in global cybercrimes report after the US (66.1%) and UK (10.5%). This is a serious threat to all those doing business in Nigeria. Many reasons have been identified, though inexcusable to be responsible for these cybercrimes which is commonly perpetrated by youthful minds in Nigeria. Their reasons range from low moral standards, unemployment, lack of education, poverty, poor value orientation, peer pressure, to get-rich-quick syndrome among others. Our organization exists for the sole aim of providing solutions to the issues that drive people into cybercrimes and fraud perpetration.

Current Projects
CHECKMATE TECHNOCRIME
Checkmate Technocrime is a 30 minutes television magazine program that is aired once a week on the network service of national television stations. The program features a presenter who carries out interviews with select financial sector experts, security agents and analysts giving advice to viewers on how users of ATM can best protect their cards from fraudsters through proactive measures.
This program features a drama sketch which demonstrates methods of ATM card protection. The drama addresses salient topics that are discussed by special Interviews, talk shows, and public opinion on technology crime. There is an investigative aspect of the program with use of candid cameras to probe public perceptions of technology and crimes associated with it.
